You scrared the freaks out of me with that introduction. For reelz. Anyhow:
Master work. Driving from the absolute start. Build-up really has tension. lead at -5:50 is nice. Love that weird outlandish melody that comes in -4:54. Awesome.
hey dude, I was just checking ur track out. i don't produce nor am i techcnically qualified to review. I just listen to good music and comment
pretty good track i must say. the melodies brings out the picture of a dark night in the woods and now that you mention wolfs, i can picture a couple of them on the prowl!
In my opinion, as the melody kicks in around 2:25 it needs to be a bit more strong and tense. Somehow the beats take a lot more attention than they need to.
More emphasis on melodies should make the track darker and even better

...but the point was to not have the emphasis on the melodies.
what combination of musical elements makes for good dark music is pretty much subjective. i think the melody should be a bit more prominent. but if you don't think so, that's fine if i were to produce this track i'd tilt the balance a bit more on the melody side.

Having listened to it 2times so far, i like it very much, especially the energy in it.
I will give it a listen few times more, so that I can give you a more qualified feedback

Nice job man I really like the overall development of the track, only thing that doesnt really suit me is the kick but other than that its great.

this is a very intoxicating track if i say so myself. The sequencing is particularly appealing to me. Personally, I dont produce this type of music, but i think technically, this track is sound.
Some people said the kick is off? well.. i dunno i just disagree. the bassline could be eq'd to have more lowend to match the bass output of the kick though. its just a little lower.. actually or maybe turn the gain on the kick down a few clicks to compensate for the bass now that i think about it. lets see...
great fx usage - always a toughy for many producers.
Interesting break as well.. the track mellows, but not really at the same time - this is a cool twist.
the 4 note lead halfway through is a little i dunno overpowering and i like the sound because its original but personally i dont know if its my cup of tea as someone else put it.
regardless this is a cool groove track. i enjoyed listening to it - keep it up man.
by the way when you changed up the pad bass to variate it downward on the scale it was cool, but it caught me offguard BCUZ i didnt feel there was enough energy built up to give the idea something new was coming.. thats my one real criticism.

As usual, quality stuff for you Mr. Mystery. I like the bassline. Sounds soooo great. Nice dark, mysterious and full synths. I like it.

Thanks for the detailed comments. This version that's up here is more or less a first draft. I've since tinkered with the bass and beat so they fit together better now. I've also reworked the intro a bit and added some new percussion so the bass change doesn't come in quite so sudden.
