ya... I hear that parts of the Tees Valley (?) can get kinda grim in places. Sugarshack isn't in a charming locale then?

tees valley more often means the conurbation of teeside which is thornaby, middlesbrough, billingham and stockton. i live in the tees valley proper which is suprisingly the valley of the river tees, and here its nice. teeside is a shit hole. middlesbrough is practically all factories, its often full of smog on hot humid days. stockton is mainly council estates brimming with smackheads, thornaby is similar to stockton, anbd bilingham is similar to boro. its not a nice place to live at all, but sugarshack is an excellent club. it gets a lot of big name djs. but the sad thign is is that its in boro town centre, which at closing time is full of beer boys of the extreme veriaty who will start you for nothing, and sometimes have knives. but they dont tend to go near ss anyway i have no idea why, but EVERYone in sugarshack does pills, so even scumare friendly, which is relieving.

where i live is about 10 miles down river from teeside, yarm is about 7 miles from teeside, which means our river water aint polluted yet hehehe. so yes if u ever visit sumwhere in england dont go to teeside. no offence to peopel who live there a sthere are a few nice bits, but coem on u gotta admit its a dump otherwise!

Ahhh so all this mumbo-jumbo that I've heard about the Tees River Valley being the "Provence of England" aint true?? Say it aint so!! Actually, my idea of a fun English vacation DOES involve cocaine infested coucil estates and occassional knifings! And who in their right mind doesn't love smog belching smokestacks? Screw Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge and Big Ben! I'm gettin' my plane ticket to Teesville today!

Well said fool, the fact is i have listened to many genres of trance, ranging from your godlike Paul van Dyk to the cheesemeister Tijs Verwest and all i can say frankly is that they are booring and they recycle the same sound, intro, Uplift, downlift , Finis. The Progressive sound is unexpected. And the fact that they dont have the talent is true, They (your infamous trance gods) wouldnt know what the hell to put in the GU album to make it underground, plus the fact that most of the GU dj's have been mixing much longer than Tiesto and Corsten have. The series would be transformed to the next Tunnel Trance compilation or Pure Euphoria garbage. I dont even know why the hell this thread was made. Maybe ill just go and make a thread saying "Who thinks we sould have AK1200 do the Magik series".

I think GU DJs like Digweed and Deep Dish are equally talented to PVD/Tiesto/Bond type DJs. Both groups are tops @ what they do -- which are obviously two completely different styles of music alltogether. Its all in which sound u fancy more. Not worth getting into a "who's better" argument over though.

so its totally alright for you to say uplifting trance is boring yet its not alright for that other guy to say he finds prog boring....

corstens been mixing since he was 12 so i think thats long enough mixing experience... (maybe earlier if sum1 cud check)


n peopel wonder why i dislike hardcore GU fans...
