I've been a staunch supporter of PVD for along time, his music was a real inspiration (particulary, out there and back). However over time my support has been shrinking as track after track he does really disappoints! He used to use vocals to add to a track, but never to be the basis of the track.
I also used to be a great supporter of tiesto as well but I lost interest in his music some time ago, I actually find a lot of tracks now days sleep inducing. I've heard better use of synths in pacman games.
Anyway back to PVD, I really feel like he's lost his way, his tracks have become very vocally based and cheesy. And yes I think it's fair to say some of paul's comments have been hypocritcal. Oh and since we're talking hypocritical, some comments Tiesto made about dj's making no interaction with the crowd, he's just as bad if not worse. You could put a dead guy behind the decks and he would move more than tiesto does. These day's, Tiesto is overrated, highly, it's all hype.
It's interesting that someone brings up the point of vandit tracks because there are some great tracks coming out on that label. I would say Paul decides on what gets put out on vandit, so you would think if those are the sounds he likes you would see influences in his productions. I don't see a large amount of vocal tracks on Vandit, so whats influencing PVD to write these vocally based mainstream styled tracks?

tiestos latest productions(not rmx's) all sound the same, a lot of them sound like flight 643, same build up and everything...the synths he uses sound really lame as well.
um, and pvd, his shit is wack as well, his productions havent been up to par latley.
i don't hate eiether, i like em both, but production wise, there are way better producers out there droppin' hot trax...
