just use vichy or helena rubinstein. excellent natural looking products. you pay a bit more but they last for a good while.
hmm, will give it a try then

and aren't tanning beds actually worse anyway? i'm a hypocrite here since I tan regularly, but I absolutely hate self tanners, most of them turn the skin orange and the colour is far from natural tan..
Any type of exposure to ultra violet light is unfavourable... but if you are gonna tan, why not do it where it is controlled?
Those chemists who invented the bulbs in the tanning beds are geniuses!!
and they have bulbs for your face that have 100% UVA... UVB are the rays that burn...

I actually read a testing that those products like jergens and dove that are moisturizers with self tanners in them work very well and look more natural...
Was thinking of trying them out myself...

yea i've tried these cheaper brands and they suck b/c if you're using a white towel coming out of the shower or wear white clothes they leave streaks. unless you feel like using bleach every time you do your laundry.

ffs, this is not Italy. It's the same shit with my coworkers, we usually eat ouside on the picnic tables, but today everyone chickened because they didn't bring sunscreen. People are so paranoid about spending 30 mins outside at the end of May like going out without sunscreen is gonna give them skin cancer tomorrow.
I wonder how many of the people who are deathly scared of skin cancer smoke?

I should also mention that by the time the above would start happening, you'll be far too old for anyone to care how "perfect" your skin is. not to mention that those happen in extreme cases of sun exposure. We're in Canada guys, this is not the tropics.

i hate self tanners too...they always turn me orange and streaky even after doing everything that i'm supposed to do like exfoliate! although i am loving the jergens natural glow as it's really subtle. and i use guinot self tanner for the face along with a little bronzer courtesy of MAC.
to be honest, i've always liked being pale...i would look retarded with dark skin. i just look a little less like one of the undead in the summer. plus, my skin will look awesome still when i'm old.

me too. i would die without AC. i can't sleep at all if it's hot in my room. this morning i woke up all nice and frosty. it was great! (until i stepped outside, that is)
i heard on the news that it was going to be hotter than normal and dry this summer. barf. at least i'm going home for a week in july where it will be nice.
i'm still hoping they're wrong, cos they always screw up the weather.

i know! and yay for bronzer! i have finally invested in some and am loving it
oh and I use Nivea's glowing moisturizer, it's really subtle but works the best once you already have a tan, it just adds that nice glow with a hint of sparkle

yea me too!!! hihiii!!! i was so happy to wake up this morning without my hair clinging to my face looking like a retard. i haven't stepped outside today YET. maybe when it cools down a bit later on tonite. but i'm glad too that i'm taking off for about a month or so to the cottage. thank goodness on lake winnipeg it's all dry heat even with 40+ degrees celcius in the shade. no smog & mugginess for me! yay!

well i definitely don't feel like burning holes into myself like there's holes in the atmosphere. i remember when i was growing up in the alps i would spend all summer outdoors looking like a lil brown bear by the end of it, but mind you, it would take me a while to actually get a tan. now i just step outside for half an hour and i'm seriously burnt even though i normally don't burn. ridiculous. it IS scary! so yea wear the stupid sun block. if you're gonna put on moisterizer anyways why not put some sun protection on at the same time. only takes a minute!
