Their work in the third ward and on the redeveloped commerce street is amazing. have you seen pictures of commerce street makeover?

The tower by the lake is University Club Tower. its definitely a great building and i cant wait for its completion in a couple months. its already topped out and they're putting the side panels up completing the facade. I think they're at the 31st floor now. only a few more floors to go. I know a lot of the condos in the tower have already been sold. I believe only 12 remain. If i had a mil and a half i'd be there.

as for the new development, I believe you're refering to The North End. I REALLY hope the project comes to fruition. it would be an amazing addition to that corner of downtown.

EDIT: i have to ask since its rare to find someone with similar knowledge about this sort of thing, is this also an interest/job of yours? are you familiar with the forums at www.skyscrapercity.com ?

check it out if you dont know it

Great resource, didn't know about it. Bookmarked.

I almost went for architecture when I got out of high school, have always been interested in buildings and architecture. I am a designer now but still appreciate good architecture, renovations, etc. I think I'd like to eventually get into buying some old brick warehouses, I saw some that I liked in the downtown area of Milwaukee near the river and turn them into housing. I am assuming you must be in the field yourself?

The University Club Tower is amazing. The floor plans I was just looking at the other day as I sit and dream of finding $2mil to plunk down on a condo.

I haven't seen the commerce st. makeover I don't believe, any pics online?

When I was with my girl we were actually at one point gonna look at some of the condo units by the river but most were sold out already.

I'm not in the field yet. I'm actually in college for Film, which sucks so hopefully i can get my grades up enough to get into the Architecture school, which, to say the least, is VERY selective.

as far as the commerce street makeover, known as the beerline neighborhood has its own site at http://www.thebeerline.com/

theres a couple picture threads on skyscrapercity midwest section but they dont have a search function that i know about so its somewhat hard to find.

I think we looked at the "River Homes" ones in the Beerline. I like the private 2 car garage too. I really am curious to see the Park Terrace. They are very limited so I would expect them to be sold out quick. In fact now that I check it, about half are sold out already. They aren't super pricey at the upper 200's.

definitely. pretty much every condo i've seen thats been built in this city recently have been just short of amazing. they're all so spacious and the interiors were done over real sleek n shit. i dont exactly have 289 Gs layin around but for the quality of the condo, those are hella reasonable prices.

And no naperville isnt detracting noticably either. But my cousin and his wife and their son live there and they enjoy it.

how close are you to o'hare btw? is the airnoise shitty or dont you notice it much? with over 75,000,000 passengers a year I'd think it would be unbearable.

Naperville is actually a pretty good distance from O'hare. When I say that, I dont mean its far per se, but you wouldnt say were close either. You could make it there in 15 minutes without traffic. Of course thats hardly the case, so it usually takes 30-1 hr. So, saying that, airnoise isnt bad at all. Its there, but you hardly notice it.
