I thought he was a good fit when he went to Sac w/ the the reverse offense that they run, cause he was such a good ball handler. BUT, alas that was then and this is now. New coach, new system, new players. |
well there are certain things i like about kenny thomas. he gets a lot of rebounds, doesnt dominate the ball on offense (unlike webber did), had a jumpshot when he first came to sac but somehow lost it. hes also pretty quick, remember that lakers game where he destoryed luke walton?
but what i hate about kenny thomas, besides his massive contract is his attitude. he only brings it if hes competing for the starting spot at PF, and this destorys the chemistry of the team. for instance, he booted darius songaila and shareef onto the bench, but never performed once he did become starter.
he can be an amazing role player but not with that attitude. thats why many hardcore kings fans would love to ship him off with youngs (francisco garcia etc) to get talent or just ship him off for an expiring. he doesnt have negative value like stephon marbury or anything, but most GMs know about his attitude problems so his trade value seems rather low, in addition to the contract.

Names make USA favourite, but hey, lets play, and we'll see.
Argentina, Spain, France... some strong rivals for the americans, out there.

World Championships coming up soon.
Kind of interesting to see what Argentina, Spain, and Italy are going to whip up this year, since they have placed strong the past championships. The US, according to experts, are doing a good job during scrimmages, and played a textbook game in their preliminary game against Puerto Rico.
I would like to see how Argentina is going to play out, with Ginobli, Noicoini, Oberto, and Delfino committing to the team. I love to see the Argentinians play, because they stress defense and good ball rotation every game.
i guess the 15 US players haven't been posted yet, so i will post them here :
Carmelo Anthony F 6-8 Denver Nuggets
Gilbert Arenas G 6-4 Washington Wizards
Shane Battier F 6-8 Houston Rockets
Chris Bosh F 6-10 Toronto Raptors
Bruce Bowen F 6-7 San Antonio Spurs
Elton Brand F 6-8 Los Angeles Clippers
Kirk Hinrich G 6-3 Chicago Bulls
Dwight Howard F-C 6-11 Orlando Magic
LeBron James F 6-8 Cleveland Cavaliers
Antawn Jamison F 6-9 Washington Wizards
Joe Johnson G-F 6-7 Atlanta Hawks
Brad Miller C 7-0 Sacramento Kings
Chris Paul G 6-0 NO/Okla. City Hornets
Amare Stoudemire C 6-10 Phoenix Suns
Dwyane Wade G 6-4 Miami Heat
