Most interesting doesn't = first. That was simply a list of artists I find more interesting than the majority of the stuff that makes MTV2 summer hitlist.

And I also can't recall saying that parties and such are never their subjects... most interesting doesn't imply an absolute, whereby I state that every single thing these artists has ever done has the highest possible level of artistic merit. In fact, no artist can claim that. Even Led Zeppelin recorded some crappy tracks once in awhile.

So... what's your point with this post?

Because you are missing the point about hip hop and what it is. I'm not saying that a deeper, more "intelligent" track isn't hip hop, I'm just saying that that isn't what hip hop is all about. Some of the best hip hop in the world was written about having a great time. I find it degrading to the genre you dismiss all of it as shit.

Oh and will.i.am doesnt even write a lot of his own shit.

Thats true. Did you know that the beat to that classic track "Still Dre" was co-produced by Scott Storch when he was unknown.

Oh and Slylee I never said anything about 50 or Lloyd Banks being great lyricists. I listen to tracks from the early 90s, real lyricists like Big L and Big Pun who were 2 of the 5 best lyricists in hip hop history, but thats a whole other discussion.

I stay on the grind
I tell the hoes all the time
Bitch get in my car
I got my 64,
ridin' on Dayton spokes
And when I open that do'
Bitch get in my car
