Okay, try calling...if they ask for your policy number then hang up...hmmm...try calling other direct insurance companies (Aviva has other insurance companies like Scottish & York, OIS, etc.), if not then the brokers... |
Ontario Insurance Service is a broker.... also owned by Aviva.
Aviva owns the following insurers.... General Accident, Canadian General, Traders General, GAN, Scottish and York, Elite, Pilot, Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (I think that's it). They underwrite PC Insurance. Aviva is owned in whole by Norwich Union.
Most of the big insurers are owned by other big insurers. ING owns Halifax, Dominion of Canada, Allianz, Zurich (commercial lines), Belair Direct, Nordic, Royal & Sun Alliance and underwrites Meloch Monnex which underwrites TD Insurance.
Economical owns Economical Mutual, Waterloo Insurance, Perth Insurance, Federation, and Missisquoi.
Fairfax Financial owns Northbridge which owns Lombard Canada, Trafalger, Commenwelth, Federated, and Markel.
I'm sure I've forgotten some and Chemy will probably add to this later.
