Alright, I just had a few hrs of sleep and I can't wait to write this review now. This is gonna be one long review ppl so get ready.
I'm gonna start right off the bat by saying without a word of hesitation or exaggeration that Sat was easily the best night of my life, EVER! As some of you know, it was indeed my first ever EDM event and I don't think I could have asked for anything more.
The night started out at cf2thousand's place: him, his girl, a bunch of his friends, and I met up at his new apartment to pre-drink and get in the mood for the night. Those ppl were all so cool, everybody was really friendly and just in the mood to party. After some drinks (and a few spliffs haha) we left for Guv at about 1am. It was a short walk to the club and as soon as we got there Sasha, Cribby, and others were standing outside having a smoke. It was great to have those guys be the first familiar faces we saw. We entered into the Gallery and spent maybe 45 min or so in there but I could not wait to hit up the Main Room. Probably around 2am or so we went to check out what we had all come for: one of the sickest Trance groups of today, B&J! From that point onward it was, essentially, non-stop dancing until about 6:30am.
Just thinking of last night puts me in an amazing mood right now lol. Although our group did spend a bit of time on the floor, the majority of the night consisted of dancing on the stage and especially the raised plateaus. There's no doubt that I love the raised plateaus, I felt like I was feeding off of the energy of the entire crowd and that the crowd was responding to the energy of us above them. B&J were amazing, they dropped so many crazy tracks: there were so many songs that drove the crowd nuts. I remember thinking (a number of times) 'this is the most amazing thing I've ever felt, every single person in this room is on the same vibe and we're all experencing the exact same anticipation for every monster build-up and everybody is experiencing the magic of the music just like I am'. Fucken crazy!
B&J were huge crowd pleasers: they didn't just do their set and leave, rather they interacted with us all night and fed off our energy.
There are so many 'best parts of the night' for me, but just to name a few:
1) When 'Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes' was dropped, I felt like I was in Heaven: one of my favourite tracks of the night and from what I could see, everybody was loving it. Almost orgasmic.
2) The lasers, the lights, the smoke omg! Getting blasted with ice cold fog was incredible, the feeling is almost indescrible. For me, the lasers were absolutely astounding, I've never seen such pretty things and it was so perfect b/c the plateau I was on all night was directly in front of some intense lasers...I couldn't get enough of them;
3) MEETING AND CONVERSING WITH BLANK AND JONES!!!!! My first EDM event ever and I get to talk with the main act, incredible! Matty, it's all thanks to you buddy, that made my night, you don't even understand. B&J were both really cool and appreciative of their fans.
4) The numerous light shows that I had others perform for me. Holy shit, right at the very end of the night, the last thing I did before I left the club was have this really talented girl who was dancing on the plateau give me a light show: it was one of the most intense things I've ever seen, she was so good. The best part about it, she did it for me during a huge build-up and when she finished the track slammed back hard as hell, the strobe light hit her face and blew me away. In all seriousness, throughout the entire night, I must have shouted out 'holy fuck' about ten times just b/c everything that was happening was so remarkable.
5) The lovely lady that I spent most of the night with. I had an incredible time with her and she was a huge part of the reason that I had such an awesome night. I can't wait to party with her @ LOL. She was really kind and easy-going and willing to do almost anything I asked, i.e. chill with me for a sec to let me catch my breath, help me make it down the stairs (lol, inside joke), and so on:

6) Sasha! lol. This dood was so much fun to party with. I took a bunch of pics with him. He did the coolest thing ever for me: earlier in the night we were talking about how Nada was unable to make it out, and probably around 4am or so he grabbed my leg while I was up on stage and handed me a phone and let me leave Nada a msg...I really appreciate that dood, you know it. I really hope you got my msg Nada.
7) Pawel. Dood I am so glad you came out, we had a fucken blast together. You were drunk as shit but you still put on a show with those glow sticks! Thanks for everything dood, I mean it.
8) Matt...hands down, you made my night, no question about it. You did so many things to make sure that my first EDM event was perfect, and I appreciate it to the nth degree. I can't thank you enough. You're the man and you know I'm going to LOL with you.
9) The sheer energy of Guv main room! I couldn't help but grab the ppl I came with every so often and make them look out in the crowd with me and tell them 'is this the most beautiful thing you've ever seen or what?'.
10) A woman TA came right up to me and introduced herself. I am pretty sure she said her name was Jen and she seemed so friendly. I hope to see her again AND have her identity confirmed when she reads this lol.
I could go on and on forever. And, actually, I realize that I have probably said wayyyyy too much already, but simply stated, this was the first time I've ever gone clubbing for this awesome music and so all the experiences I had last night will be unforgettable.
Alright ppl, let's hear some more about last night, I've said a mouthful hahaha.
One last time, thank you to everyone who gave me such an awesome night.
LOL in one week baby!
Nick.
P.S. here are a couple of my favourite (and priceless) pics:
--> This is the greatest pic ever:
--> All night long:

p.p.s. can we get a tracklist (or even better) a set of B&J from last night?
