There used to be this thing called 10/10 10 hours 10 djs at this gay bar/club every sunday afternoon/evening.
The djs were locals ( and occasionaly guests ) and the thing was run by one of the local vinyl shops so it was always proper djs.
During the summer we'd do bbqs outside and it was just really a fun place the chill out after a long weekend partying.

The night was never really considered "straight night" but it was certainly the time of the week were the most straights were there.

Stories ....

The first time I went there I was super early ( 2 or 3 pm ) and the whole place was pretty much empty ... maybe 5 to 10 people including the staff and one of the djs that was already playing.

I sit down at the bar to get myself a drink. The guy next to me starts talking to me and everything is cool until he asks me " so are you here with anyone special? ".

Suddenly it hit me, I look around, I looked at the logo of the club, and the fact it was pretty much only guys I came to realize " oh shit this is a gay bar! "

Well that conversation ended quickly.
After that there were many instances were me and my friends used each other as ' special ones ' if someone ever asked us if we were there with someone

On another occasion these two guys started fighting for I don't know what reason. I didn't actually see the fighting but I saw them yelling at each other calling each other 'bitch, wh*re etc ' and then the bf of the one that had gotten attacked came into the argument.
5 or so police cars showed up in the minutes following the fight


Really nothing shocking .... there used to be very little to no public exposure between the gays but the behavior could sometimes be classified as gay indeed.

There was also the random incident with the gay asking one of the djs to spin something else .... but no they didn't want hip hop or whatever you might here in a regular club ... they wanted some diva house or something


I really do miss that place it was the bomb to chill out.

Very very rarely.

Some of my friends think I'm gay.. One of my Ex's told me that when she first met me, she thought I was gay because of the way I dressed/danced. She said I "walked" better than her! I've worked at a live performance theatre for almost 7 years....so not only have I worked with countless gay actors....but I've also been hit on...MANY TIMES! So every now and then ill joke around and act gay....like we used to do at my job just to fuck with the gay guys....so ill bust out some gay talk....or ill touch Clovis's ass in public or something.....and it throws people off! Its cool though....it doesn't bug me 1 bit....I usually take is as a compliment.

i've only been to one gay bar but it was lame (and i got kicked out for hanging out in the upstairs which was a "restricted area"). for some reason i really have a desire to go hang out at a crazy fun gay bar, but i don't know if those exist around here.
