I do think you might be right about this. I see things only getting deeper, and not in the 2002 progressive sense.

I've been following this a lot, and this sort of sound is realllllllly getting good right now. Lots of artists like luomo, international pony, isolee, jonas bering, superpitcher, jeff bennett sascha funke, ada etc. This hybrid of deep soulful pads and warm warm sounds with the clicks and pops.

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly

Superpitcher, Jeff Bennett, and Sascha Funke have all been real big for me in the last couple weeks... Though I will say, the tunes that I don't care for from Bennett and Funke I tend to REALLY dislike... But for the most part, all three have been ace.

HAHA I'm the SAME WAY! I love some of theirs and HATE others. Very hit/miss.

Deep deep deep

We need more shoegaze ambient/deep house... M83 but with a beat.

But seriously electronic shoegaze is where its at!

That's pretty much the sound I'm going for. Check out Jonas Bering's new EP on Kompakt called "Lost Paradise". Also check out a specific track on Inoquo -> "Mike Mendia - Re-All"

I love M83 and thank god they don't have a four-to-the-floor beat! Deep house/techno like jeff bennet-the next big thing?...That sound was around from 94...the timewriter, terry lee brown jr., john tejada, alexi delano, jori hulkkonen,luomo/vladislav delay and many many many others were doing it in the 90s,only 1000 times better then now IMO!!!(luomo's vocalcity was great back in the day).
