I do love it...I can't stop playing with it

Only thing, can't figure out how to map network drives. I go to my Finder, click on Go -> servers and put in the IP of mine or my roomies machine and it can't connect. Am I missing something?

So I have my mac book pro and I bought a monitor just so I could get the desktop feel when I'm at home...

And I just figured out that you can 'un-mirror' your display and can use both the displays. One for the menu and and the other to extend the desktop for two monitors.

Its soo cool cos now I can use more desktop space....I know this is a common feature but I just figured it out...

Anyone know any cool 'mac' stuff which I could play around with???

Just bought a mac book pro yesterday. This is my first experience with the MAC os. I am trying to rid myself of all my 'windows type' thinking. there are a few things that I don't seem to understand (IE. I installed firefox as my web browser, but each time i turn on my PC it's gone!) so, I guess I'll just use safari until i manage to figure that out. I know I'm gonna love this mac though.. such a well built machine.

If you guys can recomend any good websites for me to check out in order to familiarize myself with this new OS, i'd greatly appreciate it.

It's probably not gone - you're most likely going to have to add it to your Dock.

Open up Finder (like Windows Explorer, is the first icon on your Dock, the one with the square face) --> Applications --> Firefox (just double click on the application to launch it). The Firefox icon will appear on your Dock as it's running, scroll over it with your mouse, and holding down on the CTRL button, press your mouse button; a pop-up window will come up, and just select Keep in Dock.

Now you can add and remove programs from your Dock as you please

Hope this helps!
