seriously. I mean, German cars are over-engineered ! I lolled. Can you define "over-engineering" ? Do you think these cars get a status symbol without any performance ?

How about Ford and GM making gas guzzlers without giving any thought to fuel economy ? Is that neat ? Look what's happening to both the companies. Cutting jobs, shutting plants, struggling just to stay alive in the competition with Honda and Toyota.

ehh nop... A LOT of them are actually manufactured in Europe, it depends on the model and you can actually have it sent from Europe and it's not that expensive... in fact my brother who lives in the states has the Golf GT 2.8 I think, '00 model, he never had a problem with it and we've gone touring all around the states and he's put over 100k miles in it and still runs smoothly as new. I also had a Golf back here for 4 years and never had a problem with the transmission.

You guys are right, expensive maintenance, but I paid it and it's one of the best cars I've driven, not one single complain.

And to the other dude dissing the BMW, Audi or Mercedes... LOL

I've had many cars VW's, Vauxhalls, Fiats(oh god!), a BMW and a couple of Audis. I will NEVER buy anything but Audi again, i know it's the same compeny as VW, but I've never had any car that is more reliable and solid than an Audi. Currently driving an Audi 80 SE 1993, it's don ovedr 130000 miles and it p1sses all over anything else in terms of quality.

My friend worked in the German VW plant. Get on an Audi and on a Jetta, its almost the same thing with different body chasis. Look at the motor key, same freaking thing. I believe BMW owns them too but I guess I should have left the BMW part out.

Look @ a Phatom and look @ an A6.

btw, I worked as a Valet as a part timer for private ( luxury party's for that matter ).. Ive driven everything from Lambo's to Bently's, Lexus and Benz. The only Benz that I would go for are the Compressors or the AMG lines ( new ones ).. other then that its nothing special. Drive a Lexus and lexus really stands out. Its one of the smoothest cars Ive driven in the Luxury line and the inside its just top. I dont think you'll understand a lexus until you've driven it and you'll understand.

As for beemers 745 and 750's, their little transmission switch just sucks.. its sad to see that Benz is implimenting it on their new models.

Have you ever seen a car commercial in the USA by Ford or GMC?

Baisically, if you don't own one of their vehicles you're an un-patriotic fag with a 2 inch penis.
