Go back a few hundred years in time and you will see the exact opposite, Christians killing in the name of religion for no real reason, and Muslims supporting everyone's rights. It is just a matter of idiocity of the societies that these religions happens to be in, and not a matter of the religions.

As far as I understand Islam, it is only okay to fight against infidels if they fight against you or if they restrict your ability to practice your religion.
