that reverse swing he had going was fucking amazing.
michael vaughan has played some amazing innings in his time against australia, i still remember that double ton he scored a while back. he is an amazing captain. atleast if he doesnt come back he will be remembered as the captain who ended the drought for england. |
yeah for sure. Vaughan had what no other england captain had, and what the likes of Waugh & Taylor had in my recollection, belief. That spreads amongst the players. I don't think Ponting has it myself, Warney does for sure, having taken average players in english county cricket & nearly won stuff with them too...
Jones is a sad story, he has so much talent, and he peaked at that time. Had he been able to carry on uninjured he could be the world's best bowler now. Now he has to start it all again when he's fit, I only hope he does so & doesn't end up losing his edge, a la gough or cork.

we're doomed. We're going to drop Bell who has been the highest scoring batsman this year, bring jones in for read, so its extras for everyone! and to top it off, giles will get picked ahead of panesar for his batting, plus plunkett can't get in cos of sajid mahmood who's dodgy
