The new Solaris was really fantastic.

I know a lot of people hold up their nose at it and say that the Tarkovskiy version is much better (I wouldn't know since I haven't seen it), but let me tell you - I'm not usually a fan of movies that have a love story as a central plot/theme, but this film really got to me.

And it's all because of the music score. Pulp Fiction had the amazing dialog that made the film perfect, and Solaris' music had the same effect.

the new solaris was a total yawnfest, and I am not bashing the slow pace; its just too hollywood-ish. Haven't seen the other version, but i read the novel.
