100% agreed! Been through it not that far apart but thats the way it went pretty much. Basicly if you can't see yourselfs being in the same place within the next year don't get too deep.

heh, same country long distance relationships don't count..i wish mine wouldve been same country..

mine was at least same continent though, but it's extremely expensive..not to mention it gets hard and if youre not serious about it, like if you don't plan on getting married or moving in together then don't even bother.
not to mention shes in holland...and youve only seen eachother twice? hmmm, im sorry to say but i doubt its going to work..i was like you once, everyone said it wouldnt work but i was like i know it will, we can make it work if we love eachother bla bla (but its easier said)..and yes we were both crazy in love but then you realize how hard it actually is being apart...

my advise is that before you get in to deep, try to figure out what you want off the relationship, because it's just going to get worse if you let it drag. and if you don't have the cash to visit her and vice versa then forget it.

Fact of the matter of a relationship that has lasted a year, and only seeing each other twice, you guys are in puppy love... you talk on the phone and internet, thinking this is how the relationship will always be, and its the most misleading thing you can think. Youre in a completely different ballpark when you actually see the person every day or weekend. Of course the relationship seems great now, cause you dont have to deal with each others shit... but I guarantee you, one of you will get sick of the other eventually, and it will probably happen really quick because you missed out on alot of stuff that would have happened in person rather than on the phone or internet.

first and formost I want to say, for those who do the whole long distance relationship thing, KUDOS! It's fu*kin' hard and only a handful of people are able to do it faithfully.

I tried it, and I guess I am not capable of doing it. We failed. I knew it wouldn't work out but I tried it anyway and he cheated on me. I expected it so I wasn't as crushed, but still crushed non the less. It takes alot of determination and most of all trust. I think they fail beacuse you want that closeness and that intimate feeling with that loved one, and can't have it so you cheat. For the ones who don't cheat good for you. I think it would always be in the back of my mind the though of my bf cheating.

Anyway Chucho, good for the two of you for keeping it the way it's going!
