i have had rogers since the begin of 2005. using BT i have downloaded and uploaded over 400GB since then. Average download speed is 450kb/s ... average upload speed is set to 40kb/s with megaupload my download speed is about 375kb/s and upload is at 60kb/s

i have no idea which isp you ppl talk about lolz

if you get shitty download speeds or upload speeds it is not just because of your connection or who your ISP is. it also depends on a number of other things like which and how many applications are being run on your computer and how much crap your computer has on it etc etc etc

what program to you use to grab?

i forget the one was using when i had to use newsnets, but it scrwed up my system processes.

when the prog was open, the computer would get choppy until i shut dwon the program (meaning i would only DL at night or while at work)

3 mins of smooth normal computer behaviour, then 2 mins of real choppy (strobe-like) performance, then back to normal.

this cycle would repeat. if i ever go back to usenet, i wanna use a different program.

i read somewhere on the forums while researching my BayTSP/Rogers problem and it seems that Peer Guardian 2 is dead...

my thoughts? maybe your PG2 is working cenik, but your main update file may be out of date, and may be useless with new IPs being used by the RIAA/MPAA

I don't use it b/c it doesn't work on Vista; I think the folks over there were having some problems over the last few months and that is why the program is failing to update. I suggest not using torrents, esp. not public ones like Torrentspy and Demonoid.
