And I wont mind helping others out if they offer something in return |
Just got back from my 2nd night at Jet this week! WOW
One weekend in Vegas and I have enough contacts in this town for the rest of my life!!!
k...here's the plan. I need all TA's help, so any TA that post a reply and puts in a suggestion will get 2 comps. (Full Day Pass)
We're going from 6AM to 2AMish NEW YEARS DAY. Looks like the venue should be the Knitting Factory in LA. General Manager is a great friend. Great location! On Hollywood Blvd (1 block west of La Brea in the Longs Drugs shopping center). There is underground parking.
Just had a meeting with Bill. Guess thats his name, and he might be able to go the whole 20 hours with the vibe I just got from him. I'd show you a video, but it might just get you wet (men and women).
That Jet lighting system IS #1 IN THE WORLD! (Who wants to argue or debate?)
k...back to our New Years Day Party (like how I said OUR) cuz we only have one week.
Knitting Factory specs
3 Rooms
Main Stage: 2 levels (think of it as a mini Avalon)w/ VIP tables upstairs and good size dancing floor on the bottom. (Legal Capcity 550)
Front Room: Just got remodeled recently w/ flat screens all over the place. (Legal Capacity 375)
Alt Lounge: Small room w/ bar (Legal Capcity 100)
So Bill will set the vibe in the main.
We'll put House music in the Front.
Alt: Thinking hip hop (another crowd)or I'm open to putting latin music, or an international vibe (Just made me think of a good DJ)
DJ's may or may not be big names. Trying to keep costs low and pass the savings on to the consumer. I have good taste in music (ask for one of the cd's I put together if you come). I promise I won't let you down. Extra money will be spent on lighting and sound. (I do put my name on my productions don't I?)
The place allows 18+ so...
Bottle prices are the cheapest I have seen in Hollywood. Vodka runs from 150-300 (Sky to Goose). Champagne runs from $125 for Moet, $250 for Dom P, and $400 for Cris. (Go check Cristal prices at any nightclub in the world! (Cost is 2 something)
Get a couple bottles and I'll give you a wristband that allows you to go outside and get any females in. (That may be discriminatory) Strike this line off the record maybe
Ok enough out of me, time for you to gimme enough info to get you 2 comps.
Any DJ's interested in doing a guest set for free alcohol and comps lemme know. (DJ's will be needing breaks to use the restroom you know)
Message me somehow if you may know good lighting people, DJ's that may be worth their name, cute go go's (body, face and rhythem) or any other questions, comment or suggestions.
Contract is not signed, but try to start telling people about what your heard may go on New Years Day! (Go listen to the Ferry Corten U2 remix. (PS I am jealous of anyone going to see Ferry Corsten at Jet this Thursday)
Make sure to invite any DJ's or promoters (Tell em they are free w/ business card or demo CD). I realized this weekend that promoters are DJ's are the funnest party people.
I'll upload my best videos from tonight for you.
One last thing, I know the following DJ's WILL come do a set since they are more friends than DJ's to me. DJ Adam Nello, DJ Eddie Ecstasy (no you cannot swollow him!), DJ Paul Ahi, my boy DJ M7 from Europe is in town til the 4th.
Thanks for letting me get my thoughts out on paper!
