I understand, and you could argue that the more important decision was made when the Japansese decided to send their fleet towards Hawaii. But this is the day it happened, and it is important not so much as what it is, the date, or even the events itself, but more of how big a puzzle piece it was to the world today.

I think it's more sad people dwell on the past, remembering stuff that happened decades ago, even though tragedies happen every single day all over the world and nobody even knows about them.

Yes, seriously - I find it hard to give a fuck about this when there is so much shit going on in the world.

In fact, I bet if the money spent on remembering Pearl Harbour was used in a move effective manner, like feeding starving kids, everyone would be much better off.

dwelling on the past is not the same as remembrance. Maybe those tragedies wouldn't happen if people learnt their lessons from history.
