The one thing that makes Fedor the best in the world is how good and accurate his punches are (as well as kicks)... and how incredibly awesome his is in the grapple and on the ground.

I would love to see all the top UFC fighters fight him, just to see the separation in skill... Arlovski, Liddell, Ortiz, etc... cause hes already beaten all the top fighters in Pride.

just finished watching the Ortiz vs Lidell match. pretty good, but i think Ortiz could have done some stuff to better his chances. WHY NO FAKING? fake a punch, go the other way, punch. or fake a punch to get the guard up, go for a body kick. i see Ortiz going for hich kicks right off the bat, as openers. surprises me in such a big UFC match, where most MMA guys say kicking sucks, blah blah, high kicking is useless, bla bla (tell that to Aerts), but hell, not even in TKD tournaments do you commonly see a head kick used as an opener.

round 3, about 14 mins in, on the google vid, when Tito's on the ground, he was in prime position to use his heels on Lidell's stomach. i dunno why i don't see more shots in that area with the feet. a well placed heel kick can end a match. sure, he couldn't generate much strike force in that position, but hell, he could have at least pushed Lidell the fuck off. i mean, with the physical condition he has, pushing 200 some pounds off should be no problem. (btw, why do they have such skinny legs? looks funny on their bodies ) as someone posted about Gono Akihiro, i checked him out, and he just proves my point:

and that spinning back kick wasn't even that hard. great spin, but he didn't even go for full leg extension. just look at the face of Salaverry, that shit hurt.

according to his original Sambo instructor, what made Fedor so dangerous wasn't his skill. he says he had no real talent for grappling. it was his basically indomitable will and heart when he got down to fighting. he wouldn't stop at all. i guess this is what that dedication has translated into.

You do see that in his fighting though, the guy is just a machine... once he gets going he just steam rolls people. And its almost the same in every match, he starts with some really good strikes to the head, grabs and takes them down (sometimes hes taken down as a result of getting close with the strikes), he maneuvers around and finishes off either with punches or the armbar. He cant be stopped.

You would think a big guy like this, against a small guy would stand a chance, or atleast more than 5 seconds.

This is what happens when you dont respect Fedor and not shake his hand at the start of a match - and try to act like a big shot.

an interview with Vovchanchyn says after the fight walking to his lockeroom, some guy came up to him and said "that was the hardest knock out i've ever seen", he shook Vov's hand with one hand and gave him $5000 cash with the other. It was either the president or vice president of K-1 organization

...known from a videotape the two made when they met in March... in Dresdens home, Dresden amputated Gabriels penis and Dresden and Gabriel ate the penis together...Gabriel had insisted that Dresden bite his penis off; this did not work.. Dresden used a knife. When that knife turned out to be too blunt, Dresden used a sharper knife to slice the penis off. Gabriel apparently tried to eat his share of his own penis..but could not because it was too..."chewy". Dresden then sautéed the penis in a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic.
