I heard Cisco and Apple were about to strike a deal on that. I guess Cisco saw how popular the iPhone was going to be and said "Fuck that" and is trying to get more money.

2008 might be the year we see the iPhone in Canada from Rogers hopefully it will be the second gen.
Probably by 2010 or 2012, be nice if Rogers/Videotron switch to 4G *drools* 0.1 - 1 Gbps
I can not wait until that happens. Wireless internet at that speed way off topic there wont be a use for the cinema, pretty much Famous Players can steam new movies to your tv.
---
One thing when the hell is Rogers going to come out with a unlimited data plan for internet on cells and laptops? I just hope when the iPhone comes because its going to be worthless if I cant surf the net on the bus or something. One thing better have good reception in the metro.

Good news Rogers will have the phone. I just wonder if Apple is willing enough to unlock the phone for free or we will stuck trying to find someone that will do it.

No way in hell I'm buying a cell tied to a service provider anymore.

So like I said depending on if your an NCM or Officer and your rank, you probably make at least $50,000 a year but most likely more. And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

There is always good and bad when it comes too that.
If you buy an unlocked and unbranded phone and it screws up, your royally screwed literally.
Hopefully Rogers will be smart enough to have a special plan for people who want unlimited calling and unlimited data for the phone, if not the phone wont really go that far if you can only get 200 mb/month for $100 which is stupid. Cingular might be giving away 18-month plans for people who actually buy the phone, which is sweet.

GSM's only downfall is that it tends to have bad reception in subways.
Read that somewhere...

Everyone who gets reception in the subway is Telus or Bell, which pisses me off.
Hopefully UMTS (3rd gen GSM) will better underground. If I remember correctly Rogers is switching to that now. Which is a couple years old now, its all about HSDPA which is 3.5 gen GSM.
Would be nice if the STM would do something with all the service providers.
I only get reception in certain metro stations or certain sections of certain metro stations
