Bad luck of Safin, it was the best match I've seen so far. The guy is too unstable though, arguing with the ref and stuff. Though entertaining (especially when he used Hawkeye to prove the umpire wrong lol), he needs to find better ways to fire up.

Gael Monfils is out. Disappointing after his massive win in the previous round. Guess fellow Frenchman Richard Gasquet knew his game and antics too well.

rafael has ties to his uncle (miguel angel) who i met when i went to watch a mallorca game in his late career & who was brilliant for barca in so many games. i think tonite is the real final, Federer V Roddick, the last time we saw Federe lose in Australia was in the same stage of the tournament 2 years ago to Safin, who is a very similar player to Roddick in so many ways, Big serve, huge groundstrokes and predominantly a bassliner.

I think Roddick will give him a tough time, but i still think Federer has about 3 gears up his sleeve, we will se the real Federer 2nite!

Federer will come out on top. It will be a great match but Federer is just too good for words at this stage of life. The dude hits shots most players dream of (actually gonzales hit a ripper trick shot when he was running back to the baseline, courier said 'shot of the tournament'.. id have to agree!)
