Porter is a good DJ. But not the best, becuase I've never heard him spin anything other than a straight up funky set. House music isn't always about rocking out to the funk.

IMO, the best house DJ in the world is Danny Howells or Danny Tenaglia.

Guys, if someone named jesusisgod tells you that a certain DJ is the best HOUSE DJ in the world (and I always thought Porter was a Progressive DJ, oh well...) then it must be true.

He did a few sets here in LA where he went from 9pm-6am, and the last one I saw was 9pm-4am. I love when he starts at 9...he starts with ambient/chillout/downtempo and slowly works into deep house, then house, then some more edgy stuff..till all of a sudden, its 1am and he's dropping big room prog. Techno around 4am. Its quite a ride...

Ahh I fucking knew it! No way could this have been a recent set. I've seen/heard him twice since March and he wasn't playing anything like that.
