tbh most trance is pooh at the moment, trying to incorporate electro elements in everything or just the airey fairy garbage, i want to see what the minimal techno surge will do for the producers of trance, as i think the minimal stuff at the moment is fantastic, as is the psy thats being played/produced and all the progressive stuff thats being churned out.

nothing is dead, just reborn. i am really looking forward to the direction some of these genre's are taking.

Its really setting the bar quite high and separating the hight class producers from the lower classed rush jobs. imo

what did you think of joofs set dude?

It was really good and i enjoyed it alot! but if i were to pick any low point in the set i would have to say it sounded very same same. but thats not to say that the quality of music wasnt there, as the psy elements he was using in common trance hits were great and added a j00fspin to it, which showed he is sticking with his roots (unlike most producers these days), he was brilliant at earthcore as well!!! i dont think the gatecrasher crowd was the best environment for a set like that, but i really really enjoyed it! and was good to see people grooving along to psy!

Can someone please provide me with a link to these said 'electro house' tunes by m.i.k.e.

But yeah, this guy has a rediculous amount of aliases, i don't mind if he dabbles in a lil' electro house for fun or for a bit of extra cash, just as long as he doesn't make a full blown transition. But hey, CJ Bolland is a fellow Belgian and he spins some awesome electro nowadays, so if m.i.k.e follows his footsteps it wouldn't be a complete waste.

Still disappointing though.

yeah, the past 2 years has been quite an interesting (and exciting) time for that kind of sound, but i wont call it minimal though, it's just techno.
