Yeah, that's true to an extent and pretty messed up. Although, the US' support for the Saudi monarch/regime has tons of implications the goverment and intelligence agencies are both well aware of. The source of virtually all militant extremist groups find their ideological roots and to a largfe degree, their funding, in Wahhabism, and are also more often than not, just plain old Wahhabi. This isn't exactly a secret. The US is well aware of this. And they're also well aware of the Saudi monarchs unfettering support for Wahhabism as it's a necessary tool for the monarch to maintain power and status quo via imposing their perverted ideology to supress uprisings and for social control; essentialy to keep the masses in check. This ofcourse helps the US to maintain status quo subservient totalitarian regimes freindly to US 'interests.' With such an obvious connection between the main actors and predictable consequences of this interplay, it's more than fair to say that the US essentially supports radical extremism in the Middle East to serve it's own interests. It really couldn't exist or have any where near the influence it does without it, and that's pretty much a fact since Wahhabism didn't exist before that and neigther did any of the fanatical militant factions derivative from it, including Al-CIAeda and the Taliban.

There were plenty laws passed in USA in the last 20 years that even in Jeffersonian era would have been called a dictatorship. The truth is, hundreds of thousands of Americans died in American Civil War and War Of Independence for nothing. The bad guys have won. United States has become what it fought hard against. And thats just the tip of an iceberg. But you dont believe in that.
