Ive heard MDG uses refurnished parts for their pc's.

MDG has misleading advertising and consistently and obviously uses bait and switch tactics.
Steve Nash should be regarded to have the same lack of ethics as MDG.

As part of that relationship, MDG will provide support to the Steve Nash Foundation and will work with the Foundation to endow select Canadian schools with fully equipped MDG computer labs."

You don't buy the "computer" you buy the parts. Just make sure you know what hardware you are getting when you purchase your comp, I would always spend the extra money and get a good motherboard, preferably an Asus, get a quality HD, and I guess everything else is optional depending what you'll be using your computer for. If you're gonna be gaming, I suggest you do some research on graphics cards, and go with a soundblaster audio card.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with a company like MDG, their prices are nothing special, usually because they cut corners, give you a computer with a shitty motherboard and integrated everything. I bought all the parts and put the PC together myself from www.pccanada.com . Good staff and service, you can also choose from a selection of computers ranging from basic to high end, and they'll put it together for you.

People suggesting Dell should call Dell's tech support. You'll quickly change your tune about them. Decent computers, but holy fuck being on hold for over an hour and transferred to 7 different people is not fucking fun.

Likewise. I bought a Hauppage WinTV card there about 5 years ago and realized I didn't really want it. They took it back over 3 months after I bought it, and their return policy I believe is only 30 days.

Yeah, my friend bought some video card or something, and it turned out to be defective, or the wrong one, or something like that..and it was the last one they had, so they gave him that was worth al ot more then the one he purchased...with no hassle either!
