This forum has always been open to discussing all types of electronic music and will stay that way.

You are missing my point.
I wrote that this forum will and should be open to all types of music.
It just needs a better structure so relevant information if found were expected. This alternative section should not be hidden away though, just one click below the main one.

Do not take me that literally ladies and gentlemen.
And besides, i'm not the one to tell other people what's good or bad for them.

I think that most people's tastes (that have been listening to EDM for quite a while) have evolved from the trance phase we all went through during the late 90s/early 2000s, where we now enjoy house tunes. Theres nothing wrong with it, its hot right now and doesnt sound cheezy.

Try these out for size if you can find em

Electrixx - Second Lesson (Monosurround Remix)
DJ Delicious - Let it Drop (Henrik B Remix)
Underworld - Jal to Tokyo (Paul Woolford Remix)

No I'm not. The music discussion forum has always been one forum open to all forms of types of electronic music and will stay that way.

I agree... If the forum wants to get a boost and grow this is necessary. There are a lot of people who don't dare to post about trance here anymore.

I think it just depends on what you call "trance".

If you want a separate forum for ASOT whores to feel special in, I think you'll run into the same problems. I personally like one big forum related to electronic music. This way I can keep up with trance, psy, house, prog, techno etc...whatever the various members decide to post about. It keeps people open to new stuff.

I doubt. The very reason why this is such a good forum is because it's not favouring one style above another. Don't underestimate peoples laziness. If this was a trance only forum people would listen to nothing but trance. But since its open to all types of EDM people get in touch with different styles and that in the long run is just healthy.
If you want nightmare comparisons just go over at trance.nu where people don't know any DJs besides Tiesto and AvB. You'll come across people there who believes trance was found by Tiesto in Holland in the year 1999.
I believe in: widening your musical horizon = good for everyone
