i almost had a GTI instead of my subie. MKIV overall good condition but the clear coat was showing that it was a desert car. it had a cigarette burn in one of the seats and had some nasty paint chips on the rear bumper. they wanted 17k and 4k down. they were out of their minds.

perfect GTI = 2004 MKIV GTI chassis, VW w8 engine, 6spd manual, stiesque awd, and a nice coilover setup.
ps: thats my project i hope to start in a couple years. by then the w8 will be easily sourced for cheap....well relatively cheap.

I had a 2004 R32. I loved it but the check engine light was on every other week. The dealer would just reset it and told me to live it. I sold the car after just 18k miles on it. The guy who bought gave me what I had paid for but I glad to get out of it.
