Why do you people feel entitled to grab a piece of the pie when it was a group of people forging ahead before you and its THEIRS they OWN IT. You guys are assholes lol. Does it really matter if someone wears a piercing at work? I used to have my ear pierced and it wasn't a problem at my last job until I actually started. I interviewed with the piercing no problem, I was working there for almost a week without any problem. Then out of the blue my boss says, "oh btw, new policy take your piercing out". I never did I just kept saying "oh, sorry I forgot."

Big fucking deal, it's just an ring.

Its really kind of simple. Your employer owns the business. They can't discriminate against you based on race, religion, age, gender, etc. However if they don't want you looking like a sideshow freak with a bunch of shit in your face they can say take it out or no job. here's the thing tho, what if you get hired with shit in your face, then like 2 months later they ask you to take it out. that's just gangsta.

i can understand if you get hired clean cut and then walk in one day with a mohawk and all that shit, then yes your boss has every right to pull out on you
