Then Jes Brieden took over, well she was already pretty popular after "As The Rush Comes" and everyone wanted to use her voice. Then Carrie Skipper, around 2004 and 2005. Now it's Tiff Lacey. You don't hear these other ladies as much. So I bet by the end of this year, Tiff Lacey wont be as popular. Like I said, it's a fad that lasts two or three years and then you don't hear them as much. Kind of goes along with the popularity of the songs.

As with most forms of pop music.

i personally don't like too many female vocals on trance tracks. i like male vocals a lot better.

a) sometimes the lyrics tend to be on the cheese side
b) some female vocals are too poppy to fit on certain trance tracks

but thank goodness for instrumental versions, huh?

but for goodness sake, it would helpf we didn't have recycled vocalists.

No way man. I actually enjoyed the a&b remix at the time of its release. But compared to the classic space brothers remix, no.

What's the story behind this release? Are James Alexander & Pete Gawtry the guys behind the "Tension" alias of the original 2004 release? Were the original mixes only available on white label? Loved some of those and would love to get some of them. The Andi Durrant Chillout mix ruled!!! Love Julie Harrington's voice!!

Oops. Yeah, I meant on released tracks she's okay. Live she sucks.

I actually came across a group on [gasp] facebook that had a list of "Electronic artists" which included, I shit you not, "Sarah McLachlan Remixed." I felt like throwing myself onto a sword.

to be honest i'm not entirely sure about the original release.. except for the fact that tension is a different producer. my guess is that alexander & gawtry bought the rights to the vocals, seeing as the tension track never saw much exposure and was only ever released on white (despite having a silly amount of remixes). a shame since it had SO much potential, but none of the mixes really hit the spot totally.. with the right hands at the controls it could be transformed into something magical
