i would just pay it and hope that they cancel the warrant for your arrest once they get the money.

i got a speeding ticket in NY and never received the court date before i moved out of state. right before i moved i thought about trying to contact them about it, but decided i'd just take off and hope that it never came back to fuck me in the ass... so now i always joke with my friends in NY about how i cant move back there since there's a warrant for my arrest.

Time went by and I don't know how but i completely forgot about it. It's now March 8, about a month and a half since I got the ticket, and I have yet to send in the ticket for court date or pay the fine. No one has contacted regarding it, so my question to you is wtf should I do? Flame away if you must

they'll send you something in the mail i'm sure. you'll get your license suspended if you wait too long. that's what happened to me

wait wtf how long ago was this?

That kind of stuff usually ends up bitting you in the ass one day when you least expect it when you're doing a random administrative thing.

Normally NY state should contact the licensses issueing states BMV and notify about FTA resulting in you having to return your license to the BMV or face criminal charges etc etc

If the license was issues in NYC, you left the state and got it renewed in Wisco or whatever I'm amazed it hasn't come back to you just yet!

In 2000 or so my father was getting his license renewed in Ohio but they couldn't do it because there was a warrant out for him in New York state for a parking ticket he failed to pay a couple years before ....
he had to get it taken care of before Ohio could issue him a new license

hmmm i'm pretty sure it was sometime in the spring of 2002, and i got my WI license in the summer of 2002.

i was actually a little paranoid when i went to the DMV in Milwaukee because of the outstanding ticket... but i had zero issues.

my guess is that there wasn't a warrant in the system yet because they had still never sent the court date. i've known people in NY who got pulled over and ticketed, but didn't actually receive a court date in the mail until over a year later.

I'm going to share a secret with all of you. I have 7 speeding tickets in past 2 years but I have no point on my license and my insurance is the same as it was before the tickets. Plus in California after 5 points they take your license away.
When you get a ticket for speeding and (lets say)it comes out to be $300. Mail the check for $310 or some small amount over the fine. The system will send you a check back for the difference. Do not cash that check just burn it or something. Points are not assessed to your license until all financial transactions are complete. If you do not cash the check, then the transactions are not complete. The system has received it's money and will no longer bother you. P.S this works in every state because the system is used nation wide.

Just thought some of you might want to know this.
