If you REALLY want to get technical....Jewish Halachah is very clear with regards to this question: Jewish mother = Jew, no Jewish mother = now Jew. Regardless of the father's religion.

Perhaps this rule could use a dynamic interpretation, assuming the main reason for it back then was avoiding extended disputes about the child's father (no DNA test back in the day!), which now wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Even if you practice Judaism some of the time, that would still make you a practitioner of the Jewish faith, which in my eyes, equals Jewish. Judaism is a religion, not an ethnicity, and you're either in it or not.

Anyways, I think Sarah Silverman is cute, but her ability to crack jokes makes her even hotter.
