But when you do that, do both tracks play at the same volume in the headphones? ie - you cant alter the volume of the master track?

I alter the volume using the gain

Well the 62 doesn't have a knob to do this (blend cue/master easily)... however there's a way to do it using the aux send channel.

When using the aux send channel does that mean I can't then connect an external efx unit?

You could learn to mix without using cue/master blend

I know, you're right - but it seems so weird though after all these years of doing it the other way.

Anyway, I've got me eye on a new 92 at the mo on ebay which might be going for around £150-200 cheaper than RRP, so fingers crossed
