This is a really good idea, I might have to jump on the next one, depeneding on the track selection.
Although I must say that if I was judging this competition I think I'd be really really sick of all these songs by the time everything was all said and done.

I just realized that I really suck at mixing these songs
I don't think I can enter this competition. No matter what I do the tracks keep trainwrecking, and not having any channel EQs doesn't help. So, I think I'll have to stick with a genre I know better, unless you guys want to hear how much of a Trance n00b I really am.

Should have not picked trance and maybe a bump in the MD forum. *shrug*
Cant believe no one's uploaded a mix.... i think we wouldve got more participants if this was in the DJ Promotion section. I didnt participate in this for two reasons: one being that all those trance songs ive heard a million times and cant stand listening to them anymore.. also there shouldve been more then 9 songs.
I suggest for the next competition we should be able to choose to either make a house mix from a selection of songs or a trance mix for the trance lovers (but this time more up to date songs that people arent sick of!)

I didn't enter as I only had one tune out of the 9 so it would have cost me around £10 on 8 tunes that I will never play again as I don't mix trance anymore.
Although I am a little surprised that you didn't receive any mixes considering the amount of people saying "Yeah, this is brilliant - can't wait to get started on this one!!!"...

i could have participated as i even have most of those tracks. i was just way too busy. and the track selection was shitty with too few tracks and i kinda don't like the idea of the competition that much tbh. i think in mixing trance it's very important that the tunes go together well harmonically and that can't really be achieved with such a limited amount of tunes IMO.
