you have to get the patients permission, 95% of them are cool with students doing it.....everyone has to learn

We always have to introduce ourselves to the patient and explain the procedure.

"Hi Mrs. Soandso, my name is Jennifer I'm a student nurse, and I'm going to be inserting your catheter today."
