i have always loved ice hockey, but i developed a new sense of love when i found out that you actually have rules governing fighting. that is seriously the coolest thing i have ever discovered. fucking awesome

Australian No Rules is fucking crazy for sure, those little fucks with the white hat and blazer who point when they score..so funny. If you've ever skated you would understand how crazy it actually is. The surface isa slippery and less forgiving than concrete. Dodging a 230lbs gorilla going full speed wanting nothing but to pulverize you. There aren't any sidelines, only hard wood boards and plexi glass that won't budge an inch. Don't forget, everyone on the ice also has a stick that quite often used as a weapon. If thats not enough, a frozen galvanized rubber puck that can travel 110 + mph that has killed so many in the games history flying past your head and into your limbs. Wrong...Hurley although with similar principles was not considered the inspiration for hockey. It derives from a game that the dutch(also the inventors of skates) used to play, and later on in Canada when the rules used were set and refined they added some of the aspects of Lacrosse.(The first National Sport.). A few cities claim to have played the first hockey game, and they are all in Canada.
