lol, elevation is 20. And he mentioned last night that he has a residency at bleu, so they have to be playing some prog there. although I do know whatcha mean, I moved from the detroit area 4 years ago and there was mainly techno and house...not much trance or prog at all.

and I am surprised whenever I catch obsessions, it gets better and better, he has a cool style and his production work is getting there hehe.

Not anymore. Look at the line up for this year and even most of last year, house, techno, hip hop and breaks DJs with an occasional prog or trance DJ thrown in, but still mostly house and techno. I think part of it has to do with the fact that trance has waned in popularity, and Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten..don't come here often, and the last few times PvD and Tiesto have been here, it's been at the State Theater (okay now I see PvD is coming May 9th, but with me, I don't go alone so I don't really get to go to these things). Christopher Lawrence or J00F would be cool to see, but I don't know if they'd come here.

I used to go to Necto. I had no problem going there alone. I guess it's just something about Detroit...don't quite think it's a safe place to be at 2:00 in the morning by yourself...and not a lot of fun either (I don't have any street smarts). I've never even driven there alone. Don't know many people, besides those I talk to on here, into EDM. I haven't really gone up to people in my classes and been like "you like trance music?" they may be like "what is that?" cause people are still ignorant around here, and don't even get started with things like "Electro-house" or "Progressive House" or the like. It was cool when I was hanging out with Mike a few years back, but after I wanted to go with him to these events he was going to, he got kind of mad that I wanted to go with him all of the time. I probably would have just met him there, it's not like I couldn't drive to Detroit myself. I just didn't want to be there alone, not knowing anyone.

Not to mention he's completely incapable of receiving any criticism.

Watching that little boy run around Bleu at 18 years old chasing cracked out girls 10-20 years older than him while mashed out of his mind was a pretty entertaining experience though.
