Play on fanboy - the fact that you're in denial doesn't mean the rest of us can't see what a gimmick the whole Maven craze was and that Sasha really isn't doing a fucking thing with it that he couldn't do with two turntables and a mixer (and most of us know this last fact by his own admission. )

I do, however, understand that ignorance is bliss in the minds of many of the EDM kiddies, so feel free to continue deluding yourself, I'm not here to stop you.

Seriously, you're even more ridiculous than AustralianGQ.

Wow. You've really climbed the ranks of all time trance addict gimp dickheads rather quickly.

01. His essential mix was done in a studio and you'd be hard pressed to convince me that even though it's claim to fame is that it's "mixed live" that it wasn't planned for excruciatingly.

02. I'd love to know just how much Sasha "designed" - because he certainly doesn't seem altogether too keen on using much of it.

His live sets are boring and bland and generally have absolutely nothing in them that clever DJ's haven't been pulling off with vinyl or CD's for years.

Noodle that you dumb fuck.

That is really not possible. I mean, unless you're on DMT whilst posting, theres absolutely no way anyone will ever top that guy.

That essential mix was the farthest hes ever taken the whole maven thing. Since then it's been a regression. This topic has been covered before though and the consensus of people who actually know what their talking about is pretty much in line with RJT...

*edit* did you just quote yourself in your own sig???

I'd love to know how the assertion you quoted puts me in anywhere near the same league as AustralianGQ - are you really going to argue that EDM doesn't thrive on people's misconceptions regarding what DJ's (and live performers) are actually doing?

Then again, if you were just looking for a place to take a shot - at least it's clear to pretty much everyone that you really, really had to reach for it and still failed miserably.

yes, indeed i did. i needed a sig.lol.thats how serious i am.lol
i'm not going to sit here and try to change peoples mind.he can do what he wants, and he is still gonna fill stadiums and clubs till he retires. i like the guy alot.not for the maven, way before that. i'm a sucker for his deep house/progressive style from around 2000. communicate, northern exposure, and his gu cd's are bad ass mixes. not to mention air drawn dagger, involver. you cant tell me you don't like those cd's!
i certainly don't think he's the most talented dj on earth, but he is a pioneer for the dance music scene and he will leave his mark, he already has.

It's pretty clear that a lot of thought went into how Maven was going to be used, and I think it's very practical. I think it's a very ingenious idea...I just don't think Sasha ever uses it to anywhere near it's full capacity. Such a waste.
