Well since Summer's coming, the rule is generally to go lighter. I say go for two colors. Some nice big panels of a vibrant red or copper to play off your mahogany, and then some highlights of lighter red/strawberry blonde or blonde. Do that and then get some nice textured layers (esp. around the face, always around the face) and you'll be smokin' fresh! Some shorter layers through the crown and back would really give some manageable shape to your hair too.
I guess you don't have a regular stylist you go to, huh? I was gonna say just talk it through with him/her....cause usually they have good ideas, and know what works best with your hair color/skin tones/etc. |
i've been going to the same girl for about 3 years now, but i'll probably end up going to the Aveda Institute for coloring since it's way cheaper than it would be with her.
my hair is already really layered/textured all the way around... it just needs a trim if i keep it like that.
Jamie - blonde is tempting (i've never gone full blonde before, only highlights) and i think it'd definitely look nice with my skin tone, but i don't want to deal with the hassle of touchups and keeping it looking nice. plus i dunno how harsh it would be on my hair to go from dyed dark brown to blonde. i don't wanna end up looking all brassy and yellow... i love kind of dark ashy looking blonde hair, but then again there's sooooooo many blonde girls in Wisco and i don't wanna be boring like that either.
guh!
