I did mean it in a simple way though. Just that mature (to me) people don't make excuses and play the blame game in life. That's where your self-awareness factors in. I figured it went without saying, but then I tend to speak as if everyone can read my mind.

would you have to always date someone that is "mature" in your eyes? sometimes immaturity (sp?) makes things more fun.

yes that's all very true, but there have been many times where i said or did something and it just didn't come out right, and i realized it, but there was really no way to redeem myself and it's like you are probably going to be judged for that stupid little thing you said at that party with those people you didn't know very well...

i dunno if that's what you were getting at, but i mean, we're all human and people say dumb shit or do dumb shit...i think another big sign of maturity besides self awareness, is awareness of human nature and society as a whole, which goes hand and hand with forgiveness.
