soy milk in most common forms has just as much fat as as whole, and at least as much, if not more sugar.

also, soy is an allergen whereas lactose is an irritant or not digestible to some. difference: soy can kill you or at least cause an immune response.

i love sushi and chinese food, but i am allergic to soy. i can get by with a little when i eat it, but i work in a coffee shop in hippie/yuppie boulder and the soy factor is not pleasant.

plus in order to make many foods 'healthier' animal or mineral oils have been replaced with soy, which makes me feel like shit and break out in hives.

Well according to Jake I can drink myself straight on it but I doubt it'll ever make me funny.

In regard to the milk argument....

1. an opaque white or bluish-white liquid secreted by the mammary glands of female mammals, serving for the nourishment of their young.

3. any liquid resembling this, as the liquid within a coconut, the juice or sap of certain plants, or various pharmaceutical preparations.

If it is a liquid that resembles the secretions from a mammary gland, it is called milk. AKA coconut milk.

Meh... I drink maybe 1 litre of cow milk per month, if that. I don't really like it.

Perhaps we could market "wiener milk" then? An opaque white liquid serving for the nourishment of the young.

Although I think "happy milk," "power milk," or "japanese-crazy-ass-make-school-girl-giggle milk" have a better ring to them. It would be the espresso of milk alternatives...served in shot form.

the only soy milk i drink is that odwalla vanilla almond soy protein shake. that is good!!!! the first time i drank it, i wasn't sure what to think but i love it now. i usually drink regular milk.


also for that "milk" discussion, i call it SOY MILK. i wouldn't like to refer to it as soy "drink" because it doesn't sound appetizing.

what do you consider coconut MILK? coconut DRINK? lol
