I actually watched transformers when i was a kid too. but here's the difference... I'm an adult now and while I might have thought it was a cool idea that cars could morph into robots when I was a kid, its ridiculous to have a movie made of it. Hollywood seems to be on a rampage adapting old sitcoms and cartoons from tv into movies. They figure by recycling this stuff they're guaranteed an audience no matter how bad it is and they don't have to waste their time trying to come up with an original idea. They're counting on ppl like you to see it. I also loath movies based primarily on special effects. Take away the CGI and what do you have left?

Why does Micheal Bay always think he has to insert "clever humor" in his action movies? stfu and shoot!
I thought it was pretty good. Let me mention the fact that I had about three cups of coffee before the movie, and when I get a lot of caffeine in me, I get very excited, and my happy emotions are played on very easy. The ambient soundtrack during major parts of the movie left a big impact on me when I left the theatre. Then I saw it again and it was good, a few funny parts, but not as great as I thought it was. My advice, drink some coffee before you see it, and see it in the theatres, the sound system works great with the movie. I mean....you're sitting on edge in your seat with a caffeine high, and you can feel the vibrations in your chest from the music, and you're contemplating humanities place in the universe. It's a great experience.
