Don't we already market fake beer to kids in the states? It's called Root Beer. Same exact concept. There's even a picture of some beer glass with foam at the top. Maybe the Japanese just caught on.

good point! never occurred to me before. btw, I remember as a kid loving getting chocolate cigarettes. I'm horrified now to think they actually had the nerve to sell that to kids.
