Alright - this post is about to get a little emo, so if you don't care to hear me gush like a 13 year old girl with a crush on the high school football team captain, leave thread now:
Tonight is something I've been looking forward to for a long time - when I picked up my first piece of wax almost 11 years ago, I did it because I loved listening to and playing dance music at a roller rink.
Over the years I immersed myself in dance music, from the "North American Electro" sounds of the mid and late 80's to "Castles in the Sky," and everything in between, and as happens to anyone over the years, I developed my own tastes and found artists who consistently resonated with me, but for years they seemed "larger than life," especially to a roller rink/bedroom/house party DJ.
For me, Funk D'Void was absolutely one of those "larger than life" personalities. One of the guys you make the effort to go see whenever you got the chance because his journeys to our neck of the woods were few and far between.
Now thanks to AMP and Vision (and, I might add, just a bit of balls) I'm getting the chance to open up a night with one of my heroes - so, long story short, this is a night I really, really hope I get a chance to share with as many of my friends as possible, and massive thanks to both AMP and Vision for having me down.

See all you fuckers tonight!
