On the subject of touching eq nobs etc, i think its just a habit that's imposible to break, i do it all the time it makes me get into the music.

what do you meen.

and eq nobs.... once you start its hard to stop!!

I'm listening to the mix right now.
It's not BAD, but heres my short list of pointers:

1. Work on your phrasing. On the 1st mix in the set, your right, the beat did seem a bit out of place. Just work on knowing the track a lil better, so you know exactly where the absolutle most perfect time to drop it is.

2. If your really bored with the mixing try throwing in some FX. Although (so far) this is realllly trancy, you could ad some slight effects that would add a lil bit more depth to the sound.

other than that, just keep at it. I'll let you know if I hear anything worthy of an edit: later on

I think there are better ways of interacting with the crowd than by pretending to use the EQs. Case in point: Donald Glaude

I was hoping it would be a video of Donald Glaude making out with DJ Dan.

I never really understood the whole dancing whilst waving a record thing. But then again I much prefer John Digweed's stage presence. Add to that the fact that he doesn't overuse the echo (make that all the FX actually not just echo) FTW.

Last time I went to the club I found the exact opposite. The guy spinning the warm up set had this house tune with a major breakdown and it was a decent tune at the wrong time. There weren't many people dancing because...the Bboy's owned the dance floor. I thought ideally he might throw down a couple of breaks, but he least he could have done was keep the beat solid.

Maybe I'm wrong. Opinions?
