I don't think I'll be watching anymore games while Copa America is still going on. I've watched maybe 2.5 games so far from the U-20s, and really nothing has stood out for me. Kind of shocking in a way because the U-21 European Championship was pretty good, but I dunno, I haven't seen any quality young-ins do their thing.
Which is fine, cause I put on Brazil vs. Chile yesterday, and WOW, it was a great game. Couple that with Argentina's mauling of the U.S., and a bunch of other South American team performing better than usual (e.g. Venezuela), and you wonder why there isn't more coverage of it, let's say compared to the European Championships. Either way, another summer of great soccer unfolds.

Well it's an unfair comparison really. The Copa America is at it's highest level since probably 1999 as the pressure from CONMEBOL to bring the 'A' teams from each country was very high, was also the reason why they delayed it a year. Having said that, it has much more experienced players that are playing at the biggest clubs in the world as the U-20's are in the process of one day being at a Copa America level. That's not to say that the U-20 kids are good for nothing; the majority are playing at First Division teams (even some kids from Zambia for example are at big French, English clubs) and getting playing time.
On the subject of the Copa America, I am very interested to see how Paraguay will progress, they stand out as a realistic dark horse. They have some new blood in their team to replace a couple of certified geezers (Acuna, Gammara, Toledo etc). They are very well disciplined in defense, maybe the most in South America and have the patience to win a 1-0 game. I hope this post is not their jinx lol.

I was at the game yesterday, too. It was probably a 60/40 split for Chilean fans. But that is always the case when Canada plays in Toronto. That's why they have most of their national games out west. Dare I say less multicultural out there.
I was just disappointed because it was Canada Day and all I heard was, CHI-CHI-CHI,LE-LE-LE!
