Well, one thing is for damn sure, Tiesto could have played 60's music and the crowd would have been dancing to it. I've never been a huge fan of Tiesto though I do give him props for bringing the electronic genre of music a bit more mainstream. As such with the mainstream BS, he played a ton of completely lame tracks. Fortunately though he did mix in a sick tech-trance track every 3-4 or so. In any case, going beyond song selection and what not, his mixing was terrible. Fourth track he mixed in sounded like tennis shoes in a dryer... but not a damn person seemed to notice because "Omigawdz it's Tiesto!" Anyway, I'm sounding more bitter than I actually am; I had a great night out and with the track selection, no one but Tiesto could have turned that into a great night. Oh and props to InfiniteTrance for the spare tix!~ Now it is time for me to finally crash now that my paper is finished and class is over.

*Edit/Add*

Oh, moment of the night I should add. The entire night, myself and InfiniteTrance wanted him to drop Platinum by Nenes & Pascal Feliz. We chanted it a couple times and subliminally voiced that during the frequent "Tiesto" chants (they sound rather similar, eh? not quite, but whatever). Anyway, he 'finished' for the night, then came back to play a final track; and of course, wtf does he play? None other than Platinum. Definately highlighted the night right at the end. Now I'm done. Paragraphs ftl.

Yeah, definately wasn't quite worth the $45. And more so glad I got completely hammered before we even got there. But that's all done and over now. SvD in 9 more days!

figured as much. the tracklists from all his US gigs is pretty similar. couple dope tracks mixed in with some crap. i guess hes still mostly touring the elements of life album cuz hes been starting every set with Ten Seconds Before Sunrise. if he woulda dropped some ISOS6 tracks im sure it woulda been a better show.

Man was it just me ... and i am a HARDCORE TIESTO FAN!! but did that set suck A**!! There was no begining middle or end. No organization and just crap being thrown in. I was so disappointed. Thank god for the alcohol. To be honest the more i drank the more i didnt like it. His opening tune was good. But definitely didnt set the tone for the set. it just got boring and more boring. And the crowd ugh let me just say the people around me were so crotchity they kept getting pissed at my best friend and i if we even breathed. I as like dude smile your seeing tiesto!! but then later found out why because well his face was about the only thing that put a smile on me. over all rating about a 3. Not worth $40.

the only way you get your moneys worth with Tiesto these days is if he throws down an extended set where he cant whore out his own shitty tunes for the whole show. its been that way for over 2-3 years now. who wants to put money that he will follow ISOS6 with ISOS7 within six months? the guy is addicted to putting out shitty mixtapes and horrible artist albums. nyana was his last tolerable release cd, that was over four friggin years ago. jesus tijs, youve made your fortune, put on a decent set every now and again.

he's established himself as a icon in electronic music. honestly he should spend his last years working on his sets. I meanhis peers alike knows he sucks, he's pleased the commercial garbage masses, what more better way to regain your self respect and dignity than to spend some time working on your sets. oh well. tiesto is like goin to the strip club, nothing but a bad cock tease. the tennis shoes in the dryer quote though was hilarious LOL.

Yep, I completely agree. There were so few transitions between tracks that flowed and went well together. I mean, I've dared not touch any mixing software because I know the complexity involved, but still, that was bordering on pathetic. I wouldn't have minded if they were all completely shitty tracks but sounded fluid, but they just simply were not. Meh. And yes, I thought you'd all enjoy that quote .
