anthem is impervious to bad sound systems.

unless they import a "rock-concert-quality" system in there asap, the show is going to suck. I have a better sound system on my alarm clock than in that venue!

bar rio is a pretty cheap venue too, not nearly enough sound for the room (and the quality's terrible) and the whole place just seems commercial to me. even Meridian has a better atmosphere.

wish they'd go back to using Rich's and Clarks & Deans for bigger events. or hell, wish Hyperia had never closed.

either way pvd always plays hard so if its not loud enough for ya go to the front

I wouldn't pay money for a PvD show anywhere, so that particular gig is a moot point to me. I'm just lamenting in general.

His show last year was at warehouse and it was his best houston performance next to Hyperia (imo). They tend to bring in additional sound for Paul.

Too be honest the sound at Bar Rio isn't as anywhere as good as it could be.
