organic food isn't any different than "normal" food. it's just grown/raised differently. an apple is still an apple and a chicken is still a chicken... the only difference is that the apple was grown without pesticides or artificial fertilizers, and the chicken wasn't pumped full of hormones and antibiotics.
i don't pay a ton of attention to whether stuff is "organic" or "all natural" or whatever other trendy names the food companies are slapping on foods in order to be Earth-concious. i eat fairly healthy and i usually try to buy stuff that i know is going to be good for me. fruits and veggies and good meats are always going to be more expensive than junk/boxed/processed food, regardless of whether they're organic or not... so it's worth it to me to shell out the money so i can eat better and feel healthier.
also, this might be kind of strange, but it makes me feel really warm and happy inside to know that the animals i'm eating came from a happy place, so i almost always try to buy meat that says "organic" or "cage-free" or "steroid-free" etc... sometimes i try to imagine what their lives were like before they got turned into food, and i really hope that they had time to graze and hang out in the sunshine with their buddies before they got turned into a tasty sammich which i will devour with great pleasure.
